Kemtah Embraces the Spirit of Community with Continuation of Involvement
Founder Keith Harris’ vision to help under-employed citizens gain a foothold in the job market has fostered a culture of openness, creative thinking, and problem solving in the Kemtah business environment. And in turn each of these qualities has served the needs of our clients and had a profound effect on the lives of career-minded employees in our community.
Through the stewardship of Kemtah’s management, the company also embraces a social mission of volunteerism, fundraising and community support. For more than 10 years Kemtah has been a proud sponsor of Special Olympics New Mexico, which helps participants find strength in their skills and their voice in the community. At Kemtah we aim to align our professional lives with our personal commitments. We are invested in supporting industries such as veteran’s services, government agencies, and healthcare with whom we are professionally linked through programs and service projects like the Metropolitan Homeless Project and VetTrans. VetTrans is a Veteran transition assistance program that helps direct veterans to housing, new careers, healthcare and benefits information and services. For the past 3 years Kemtah has participated in the New Mexico Veterans Job Fair because when we increase our Veteran employees, we have a tangible and positive effect on the local homeless and unemployed Veteran population. We believe that offering our services as an employer and community member to those who have served, or wish to serve, strengthens the community and allows its citizens to shine.
The Importance of Being Green
One profound way in which Kemtah is helping businesses and public sector clients to economize while staying vital is through Green IT. Every day we are finding ways to help organizations do things in a more environmentally and economically friendly way through:
- Consolidating processes and services
- Achieving lower power usage through better and shared hardware and software tools
- Safe disposal and recycling of equipment that is no longer useful
